Mobile Payment - How Banks and Operators Can Both Win

M-payment is the new Wild Wild West for payment providers and service providers, representing a potential goldmine, but with high risks as well. Even more than ever, given the current climate, it's wise to choose the right partner for any new venture. Both operators and payment providers can benefit from working together instead of separately, to hit paydirt of increased revenues and a larger customer base.

US$10 trillion is cleared through electronic payment networks each year, whether card-based payment or cash withdrawals. The challenge for payment providers remains how to increase the transaction volumes as well as the number of transactions. A major opportunity to do this exists by using the three billion handsets in operation as a payment channel.

Mobile operators have the technology and the subscriber base, but often lack financial expertise or credibility to give subscribers confidence to conduct financial transactions. Offering mobile payment services such as e-money or international remittance, by working with payment providers will unlock new revenues for both parties, and give users the confidence to rely on their services.

The eServGlobal M-POS eMoney solution provides advanced m-payment solutions for subscribers leveraging off a cooperation model between operators and payment providers. To tap into markets with low access to banking services, eServGlobal's HomeSend eRemittance solution provides mobile operators with a global hubbing service including financial clearing and settlement enabling subscribers to transfer eMoney.

Mailis Suite transforms voice messages with Voice to Content

Voicemail is no longer a basic service that most users take for granted. Service providers can now, more than ever, enhance their voicemail offering to provide additional value to subscribers. They can make their voicemail service stand out in a crowded market with speech to text technology.

eServGlobal recently signed a partnership agreement with SpinVox, a global leader in Voice-to-Content services. The speech to text technology adds to eServGlobal's Mailis Suite, the capability to transcribe voice messages that are forwarded to the subscribers via SMS. Subscribers will now benefit from the ability to read voice messages on their handset as SMS text messages.

Speech to text capability ensures that subscribers will no longer have to phone voicemail services to retrieve and listen to messages and will be able to respond to the call by text, email or voice with just one click. Subscribers will benefit from getting all their voice messages as text on the one device that they carry with them at all times - their mobile phone.

eServGlobal's Mailis Suite is an enhanced Unified Communications suite offering solutions such as SMS Call Notify, Voice SMS, Push Voicemail, voice & video mail, unified mail, and video blogging. Deployable in all types of networks, from TDM to SIP and IMS, Mailis Suite improves the end-user experience and ultimately unleashes the potential of rich content creation in messaging, thereby enabling new revenue generation from advertising and content resale.
