How to provide reliable service during peak periods

Each year, the holiday period pushes operators’ resources to the limit and, with sustained SMS and MMS traffic growth, operators must have software that is both reliable and capable of supporting additional traffic.

The eServGlobal messaging and charging solutions support operators’ peak traffic demands. Across eServGlobal’s client base, end users sent close to 1 billion messages during the 8 day holiday period, and almost 30 billion for the entire year. eServGlobal’s solutions also effectively supported operators during Ramadan 2008, with over 230 million messages sent in a two day period – an increase in peak traffic of 32% over 2007.

eServGlobal’s MessageMax protects clients’ HLR, Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) and signaling network from overload, providing a smooth service at peak times. In addition, the standard MessageMax installation requires only 20% of its normal capacity, equipping operators for the long-term.
