We are please to announce that we have successfully
implemented our ChargingMax CDMA solution for nTelos,
based in North America. Awarded the contract with Convergys
Corporation, eServGlobal provided our Convergent Billing
solution in a pioneer IN project into the proprietary
US networking market. It is also our first system launch
in conjunction with Convergys.
eServGlobal found a workable, elegant solution to manage
key technical issues relating to charging and rating.
The answer lies in ChargingMax's non-WIN based roaming.
The benefits of our non-WIN roaming solution include
that it's entirely standards based, allowing it to be
easily integrated with the core network elements (HLR
and MSC) that support these standards. Such a solution
is easier to implement, change and maintain. The operator
is also able to offer both domestic and international
outbound roaming, and it can be hosted on platforms
owned by the operator, allowing greater control over
the way they offer, market and maintain their services.
We successfully replaced the previous IN of one of
the largest suppliers of prepaid solutions in North
America. The solution includes real-time voice (MO/MT),
SMS (MO/MT) and Data (Events/Sessions) control, as well
as real-time communication with the Convergys Infinys
Active Mediation, Rating and Billing over Diameter,
to be merchandised to millions of subscribers. The project
also includes customer care and customer self-care for
nTelos' prepaid customer base.
The uniqueness of ChargingMax lies in its distribution
of functions. While a typical Service Node solution
centralizes the call control, IVR, billing and voucher
management functions on the same physical platform,
ChargingMax can distribute these functions on separate
platforms, therefore offering a much higher degree of
scalability and performance.
"I really want to thank you for all your support
over these last several months. Clearly, we would not
have been successful without the extra efforts you made.
As a comparably small communications provider with limited
internal engineering resources, vendor support was a
key component in our evaluation of the companies submitting
bids. While the Convergys/eServGlobal partnership ranked
quite high prior to awarding the contract, you and your
teams have far exceeded my expectations at the conclusion
of this long and difficult project. It was very evident
that you cared as much as we did about putting forth
a quality product within the required timelines."
Dan Meenan, Director of Site Development, nTelos.
