Deliver Messaging 2.0 with M@ilis

The emergence of Web 2.0 means that the internet is now characterised by user created content, content sharing and very rich interfaces. Service providers will be able to offer subscribers a new way of creating rich content using their telephones with the next version of M@ilis.

The enhanced message capability of eServGlobal’s M@ilis solution will allow subscribers to create and modify rich content to post on the web or send it to their friends, thus increasing traffic on the operator network and subscriber loyalty. Subscribers will be able to add their own elements, such as background music, visuals and animated characters, to a recorded message.

Another revenue-generating service will be the ability to attach advertising to selected messages, which can be used to distribute third-party advertising to any group of subscribers.

M@ilis will further expand the capability of messaging beyond the telephone, through delivering messages to an IPTV service. As soon as a subscriber receives new SMS or voice mail messages, they will be able to check them from their television screen.

In future, M@ilis will become an enhanced message centre to intelligently manage delivery of all types of rich content message, adapted for delivery to the device currently being used by the recipient.

Maximise your network investment for IMS

The new IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) environment has the potential to reduce service provider costs, increase revenue and cross-sell new services to an existing customer base.

However, one of the challenges facing service providers is how to upgrade their infrastructure to make the transition from their legacy networks to IP-based networks.

Thanks to eServGlobal, service providers can have access to existing technology on a new network. This enables service providers to provide NGN functionality without having to spend capex on new infrastructure. eServGlobal’s experience in real-time call, SMS and SIP session control gives service providers a gateway for IMS functionality into legacy systems, at a fraction of the cost of new infrastructure.

For example, service providers can ensure the ongoing provision of interactive voice services via technology that allows them to retain current functionality. Existing services can also retain the same look and feel, to avoid any disruption to customers.

Reducing the requirement for Capex in the short-term gives service providers more flexibility to provide a greater range of services, to help them stand out in today’s dynamic marketplace.
