Connect rapidly and securely to ASPs with ContentMax

Multimedia and premium content messaging is on the rise, led by users downloading pictures, ring tones and screen savers to personalise their phones. Operators need improved SMSC and MMSC platforms to manage the increasing traffic generated by Application Service Providers (ASPs). eServGlobal now offers the ContentMax solution, a messaging gateway for application-based messaging traffic in mobile networks.

ContentMax connects ASPs quickly and securely to deliver third party content and applications via SMS and MMS. New and enhanced messaging applications can be brought to market quickly, providing new sources of revenue.

By placing ContentMax between the SMSC/MMSC and third-party ASPs, operators can remove content providers from their core VAS network, simplifying their network management. Network efficiency is improved, by protecting the P2P core messaging infrastructure from high peaks of ASPS and content providers.

Greater security is achieved by providing a single secured point of entry to external ASPs and content providers. In addition, ContentMax can reduce the time to market and opportunity costs to interconnect ASPs and content providers, as well as providing adult content control.

For long-term scalability to accommodate high capacity, ContentMax architecture has been designed to enable multi-instance clustered architecture. Operators will maximise their investment in existing infrastructure by ensuring that message routing is optimised across existing SMSCs and MMSCs.

Location, Location, Location

Location really does matter. Service providers can use the eServGlobal Mobility Suite’s location-based capacities in conjunction with ChargingMax to offer attractive tariff bundles according to different zones.

More and more subscribers are choosing the convenience of a mobile handset for multiple uses. Mobile service providers who are looking for ways to stand out in a crowded market can use the Mobility Suite to offer their customers Home/Office Zone services. Customers gain a seamless solution for calling from home, and can benefit from attractive and flexible tariffs. At the same time, mobile service providers have an opportunity to break into the lucrative fixed phone arena.

The Mobility Suite allows service providers to define multiple zones for different purposes, such as Home, Work, City or Family zones etc. Service providers can design attractive pricing packages for the different zones and offer special screening rules for each location, therefore stimulating fixed-mobile substitution.

The user may set up their zones through a self care IVR, or using USSD or SMS commands. Tariffs can be selected by the user, depending on their location or the location of the person called. This unique self care option makes deploying the Home Zone service quick and easy.

The Mobility Suite can also be used as part of a VPN solution to create an office zone, allowing different tariffs to be charged dependent on multiple locations. Charging can be done against more than one “wallet”, to enable usage for both work and personal calls.

The Mobility Suite can be integrated with an existing ChargingMax installation, and is compatible with any network type, allowing service providers to offer added-value services leveraging off existing infrastructure.
