IMS/NGN
In the near future, a single and converged IP network will provide the basis for all forms of communication. In addition to reducing costs, the new generation IMS/NGN networks based on SIP will enable a whole new range of services and capabilities far beyond those of current legacy networks. SIP provides the framework for delivering voice, video, messaging and presence services seamlessly and transparently over a common IP network.
Because in the next few years there will be still more people on legacy networks than IMS/NGN, the ability to enable the co-existence of both SIP-based and legacy networks and services is essential. However, IMS/NGN Operators will need to stimulate legacy subscribers to become IMS/NGN subscribers by promoting new service capabilities (e.g. personal mobility) and by offering them the same level of functionality and usability they are experiencing today (e.g. real-time charging, VPN…). Moreover, they will have also to comply with regulatory obligations, such as number portability and emergency calling, in the VoIP environment.
At eServGlobal, we use our multi-networks and real-time service control expertise to integrate with your systems, and to deliver these IMS/NGN services. eServGlobal IMS/NGN solutions are based on a common service platform applicable to any network types, enabling legacy networks to IMS/NGN interoperability, and providing rich service capabilities, such as presence and availability, real-time charging and messaging, VPN and number portability into the IMS/NGN environment.
